PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection by Typhoon Livens up the Kitchen
New Product Line Includes Mugs, Textiles and Mills in Bright PANTONE ® Color Palettes
CHICAGO, International Home & Housewares Show 2008, PANTONE ® ColorWatch Display (Lakeside Lobby Level 3) and Typhoon Booth (#S658) – March 17, 2008 - Pantone ® Inc., the source of inspiration and provider of professional color standards for the design industries worldwide, and Typhoon, an internationally recognized manufacturer of stylish and innovative home accessory products, today announced the PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection by Typhoon, the latest category of products under the PANTONE ® UNIVERSE brand.
Produced under a licensing agreement with Typhoon, the first introduction of the PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection will include textiles, shopping trolleys, storage jars, mugs and salt and pepper mills. Drawing from Pantone’s color expertise, each group in the PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection will have its own distinct design and color personality. The first offering will be in solid shades of Red, Black, Blue, Olive and Pink, merchandised with coordinating stripes and patterns

The PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection by Typhoon and W2 includes the following product lines:
Pantone ® Storage Jars
The 1.4 liter storage jar is available in color-coated enamelware with interchangeable magnetic labels for tea, coffee and sugar. The jar is also available in ceramic.
Pantone ® Mugs
Ceramic mugs are available in two sizes, 12 fl oz (standard size) and 4 fl oz (espresso size). The mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Pantone ® Textiles
Made from and lined with 100% cotton, the textile line includes tea towels, aprons, pot holders and oven mitts.
CrushGrind® Salt and Pepper Mills
Produced by CrushGrind, the salt and pepper mills are made from a high-gloss biodegradable plastic and are easy to adjust and clean. The CrushGrind brand guarantees the patented ceramic mechanism for 25 years.
Shopping Trolleys and Bags
The shopping trolleys and bags are made from nylon material. The trolley has a retractable handle for convenient storage and the bag folds to fit into a handbag.
Pricing and Availability
The PANTONE ® UNIVERSE Kitchenware Collection by Typhoon will be available in September 2008 at retailers worldwide. Pricing for the collection begins at an SRP of U.S. $8.
