Moomin

The Moomins, trolls who live in the northers woods, were created by the swedish-finnish author Tove Jansson (1914-2001). Not only children have learned to love the Moomin stories. Especially the later books also handle many adult topics.

The first Moomin-Book ever was released in 1944, the ninth and last one in 1970. Tove Jansson also made 4 picture books about the Moomins.

The life of the Moomins is imprinted by love to nature and all it's creatures, a tolerant, lovely and open attitude toward life and a latent desire for adventures

Tove and Lars Jansson's original drawings have been transferred to Arabia's Moomin products thanks to Tove Slotte-Elevant. She has completed the drawings that were limited by cartoon frames, added the measurements to suit mugs, plates and bowls, and when necessary, she has drawn missing characters.
