Serie I When he started creating his own watch brand, one of the goals of Alexander Burhans was to combine the best possible quality product with a reasonable price and timeless design. This challenge inspired Burhans in 1991 in Fribourg to create his label a.b.art.

Even as a young man, Alexander Burhans, whose initials form the brand name, was interested in art and design. He’s especially fascinated with plain and unostentatious forms which combine purpose and aesthetics in a harmonious way. It’s quite obvious that Burhans was originally especially interested in exhibits of the well-known Bauhaus and Ulm Schools.
